Focus Four: Caught-In

Description
The "caught-in/between" hazards, one of OSHA's "Focus Four," refers to accidents where a worker is caught between or in equipment, materials, or structures. Examples of caught-in/between hazards include:

Being caught in or between machinery or equipment

Being crushed by collapsing walls or trenches

Becoming trapped in confined spaces

Being caught in or between objects being lifted by cranes or forklifts

This course provides training and education resources for employers and workers to help prevent these types of accidents. Employers are responsible for providing a safe work environment, including providing appropriate training and protective equipment, and ensuring that workers are aware of and understand the hazards associated with their work.
